01Get started
Around ten minutes. Use our pack — the server is already in your list, so you can't mistype it.
Install Prism Launcher
Prism keeps this pack separate from any Minecraft you already have, and supports offline accounts.
Download our modpack
One file. Don't install mods individually — 138 mods must match the server exactly, and this file guarantees that. Our version also has the server pre-added.
Import it
Prism → Add Instance → Import → Browse, pick the file, OK. It downloads the mods itself.
Add an offline account & 6 GB RAM
Accounts → Add Offline, then your username. Then right-click the instance → Edit → Settings → Memory → maximum 6144 MB. The default is too low and the game will crash loading.
Join and register
The server is already in your Multiplayer list. On first join, set a password (6+ characters):

You can't move or chat until you log in — that's normal, not a freeze.
02Catching Pokémon
Pokémon spawn by biome, time of day and altitude. Weaken one in battle, then throw a ball — lower HP and a status condition both raise your odds.

| 2 | Right-click a wild Pokémon to start a battle. |
| 3 | Bring its HP as low as you can without fainting it. Sleep or paralysis helps a lot. |
| 4 | Hold a Poké Ball and throw it at the wild Pokémon. |
| 5 | Caught Pokémon go to your party, or your PC once you have six. |

You are level-capped. You start capped at level 20, and Pokémon above your cap stop gaining experience. The cap rises as you beat gym leaders — check your Trainer Card for your current cap. This is why badges come before levels.
03Crafting
Two recipes matter before anything else. Everything else is in your in-game recipe book —
press E and click the book icon.
Trainer Card
Craft this first. Trainers and gym leaders will not spawn for you at all until you are carrying one. It also shows your level cap, badges and progress.
Poké Ball ×4
Four Red Apricorns in a diamond around one Copper Ingot. Apricorns grow on trees — plant the seeds and farm them, you will need hundreds. Other colours make other balls.
04Gyms & badges
Gyms are run by trainers who spawn in the world around you — you don't travel to a fixed building. Beat the trainers a leader requires, and the leader becomes available.

| Series | Everyone starts on the Kanto series. Finish it to unlock free roam. |
| Level cap | Starts at 20. Rises as you defeat leaders. You cannot over-level past it. |
| Finding trainers | They spawn 25–70 blocks from you, up to 6 at once. Keep exploring; they come to you. |
| Being spotted | Trainers challenge you on sight within 16 blocks — you can't walk past one. |
| Order | Each leader lists required trainers you must beat first. Your Trainer Card shows which. |
| Rematches | Leaders can only be defeated once. A badge is permanent. |
How to actually progress: carry your Trainer Card, explore, and battle every trainer you meet. Open the card regularly — it tells you exactly which trainers you still need and what your level cap is. When a leader's requirements are met, that leader starts spawning for you.
05Qualifying for the Final Showdown
The Final Showdown is the closing tournament. Entry is earned, not signed up for.
- 5Gym badgesDefeat five gym leaders. Only leaders count — ordinary trainers you beat along the way do not.
- 6Pokémon at level 25 or higherA full party of six, every one of them at least level 25. Five strong ones and an empty slot will not qualify.
Do them in this order. Your level cap starts at 20, so you physically cannot reach level 25 until gym wins have raised it. Chase badges first and the levels follow; grind levels first and you will hit the cap and stall.

06Legendaries, Mythicals & Ultra Beasts
Everything below exists on this server. Bright names spawn naturally — rarely, in the right biome. Struck-through names have no natural spawn and must come from events, raids or trading.

20 total · none spawn naturallyLegendaries are the rarest spawn tier in the game — expect to hunt for hours, not minutes. Bring plenty of Ultra Balls and something that can inflict sleep.
07If something goes wrong
Server is offline or can't be reached
Nine times out of ten it's the port. The address is mc.oscvitap.com with nothing after it —
delete the server entry and re-add it if unsure.
"Received N registry entries unknown to this client"
Your modpack doesn't match the server. Make sure you imported Cobbleverse 1.7.42 and are launching that instance, not a different Minecraft.
The game crashes while loading
Almost always memory. Edit → Settings → Memory → 6144 MB. Check Java 21 is selected under
Settings → Java.
I can't move or type
You haven't logged in. Type /login yourpassword. Never registered? Use
/register with your password twice.
No trainers or gym leaders are spawning
You're not carrying a Trainer Card. Craft one — paper around a name tag, glass pane and redstone. Nothing spawns without it.
My Pokémon stopped gaining experience
You've hit your level cap. Beat more gym leaders to raise it — see your Trainer Card.
I forgot my password
Ask an admin to reset it. Don't join under a different spelling of your name — that makes a new account with no progress.
